Our Team
Persevering to alleviate the pain of losing a child, one family at a time, Lisa is the heart and soul of the Tigger Stavola Foundation. She is the mother of Richard Joseph Stavola, Jr., “Tigger,” who lost his life to opiate addiction at the early age of 25 years. Channeling grief into purpose, Lisa, along with her husband, Rick and son, Alex created the Foundation focused on arming youth with the drug prevention knowledge that the Stavola family tragically did not have available to them.
As Founder of the foundation, Lisa determines the strategic direction and oversees the initiatives and the team carrying out TSF’s mission to fight addiction, raise awareness and save lives, in honor of Tigger. She also incorporates input from the Advisory Board made up of members whom she appoints.
Lisa brings business knowledge and entrepreneurial prowess to the Foundation. Prior to founding TSF, Lisa owned and managed successful businesses in New Jersey including Edgewood Farms in Atlantic Highlands and the cosmetic boutique, Wisteria Shops, LLC in Red Bank. She began her career in real estate development and sales working for builder Malcolm Gropper and then Howard Savings Bank where she managed Foxchase home sales. Lisa is a graduate of Stockton University.
Lisa pursues this life-saving mission each day feeling Tigger’s star shining bright upon us.
Jennifer’s responsibilities for the Tigger Stavola Foundation include creating content, driving media coverage and managing donor communications. She oversees creative expression and messaging across all media channels to advance the Foundation’s mission.
Prior to joining TSF, Jennifer led communications and was a Board member of the Kortney Rose Foundation, which raised money for pediatric brain cancer and helped establish the Children’s Brain Tumor Network, housed at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She also served on committees for the women’s health empowerment organization, WEforum and is currently the Grants Outreach Chair for Impact 100 Jersey Coast, a women’s giving collective that has awarded nearly $3M in grants to 35 local organizations.
Before working in the nonprofit space, Jennifer designed and executed public relations campaigns for high profile clients such as IBM, Martha Stewart, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Weight Watchers and Live Nation while holding senior level account management positions at several top New York City public relations agencies. While working in-house at IMAX Corporation, Jennifer managed media and investor relations and supported film launches.
Jennifer continues to provide persuasive communication consulting in her role as Strategic Advisor at The Plunkett Group. She earned a Master of Science degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
Cheryl is a versatile and goal-oriented team player with extensive experience in teaching, supervising, and employee relations. As Director of School Partnerships, she is responsible for the effective delivery of the Foundation’s drug prevention programming to Partner Schools, and for expanding relationships to serve more students across New Jersey.
Prior to joining TSF, Cheryl had a distinguished career at Long Branch Public Schools, where she served as a teacher, facilitator, and Head Teacher of Mathematics. In these roles, she worked diligently with teachers to enhance their ability to use student data effectively. By gathering and analyzing student data through multiple assessments, she ensured that data-driven instruction was a cornerstone of classroom practice.
Cheryl’s professional development and instructional excellence has made a lasting impact on the educational community. Her leadership and innovative strategies have consistently led to improved student performance and teacher effectiveness. She is applying her knowledge of the educational landscape to engage with administrators, counselors and students to further the Foundation’s mission.
