The Tigger Stavola Foundation has over 150 partner schools. We provide a free, multi-faceted program to educate teens in school, at home, and on their phones throughout New Jersey. To schools, we provide free motivational speakers from our vetted portfolio. These speakers are subject matter experts who are able to connect with kids in an entertaining way and on a personal level. They have presented to over 112,000 students this past school year.
We provide Tigger Resource Cards to students and their parents/guardians. With QR codes linking them and their parents to facts and videos that help to keep the prevention conversation going at home. It’s a way to keep families informed of opportunities the Foundation offers volunteer hours and scholarships, including attendance at our popular Polar Plunge, which drew nearly 600 supporters this past March.
To reach kids on their phones, the foundation created a mobile engagement program called LED by Tigger. Students can sign up by texting Tigger to 43386 to receive facts in the form of videos and quizzes. The texts are delivered on Friday afternoon after school to empower youth to make informed decisions when confronted with substances. Over 400 local students attended our LED by Tigger launch event at Monmouth University to hear an inspiring presentation by Nic Sheff, topic of film and memoir, Beautiful Boy. Since then, 2,400 students enrolled in LED by Tigger.
